1. Your Video Matters More Than You Think

Coaches don’t have time to watch a full game. They need clear, short highlight clips that showcase your best skills in the first 10-15 seconds.

👉 What to do now: Make sure your video is properly edited—keep it under 2 minutes, highlight your strengths, and use real game footage with a few training clips. Post it on Twitter (X) and email it directly to coaches.

2. Email Coaches the Right Way (or Get Ignored)

Most players send generic emails that never get opened. College coaches get hundreds of these per day. You need to stand out.

👉 What to do now: Start your email with something personal about their program (NOT "Hi Coach, I’m interested in your school"). Mention a recent game, a specific player, or why you fit their team’s style of play. Keep it short, include your video link, and always follow up.

3. Your Online Presence Can Make or Break Your Chances

Coaches do check your social media. If your profiles are empty (or worse, full of unrelated content), you're missing an opportunity.

👉 What to do now: Post highlights, training videos, and updates on your season. Even one video a week increases your exposure. Tagging coaches in the right way (not spamming) can get your video seen.
